The exhibition "inside out, part II" in the Kunsthalle Luzern invites you once again to discover the creative reservoir of the BASIS, the documentation archive for artists from Central Switzerland.
Within the current show the works and ideas - contained in the portfolio boxes of the BASIS - of chosen artists encounter each other directly. For this purpose the cardboard boxes of the BASIS were expanded to room size and thus constitute the exhibition architecture. The boxes are not only open, like in the prior exhibition, but rather overturned. Thereby a place for interaction and confrontation occurs, which initialises new, unexpected levels of meaning.
The works and visions abandon the secluded room, the secluded studio, the secluded box and have to face different contexts.
Juxtaposition and association with different artistic conceptions of regional or national kind are possible. To emphasize the mobility and interplay of the art works the exhibitions includes alongside the artists from Central Switzerland two guests from other Swiss areas.
